Again, CNN surprisingly tells it like it is. It is nice to see CNN showing at least a little bit more independence from the rest of the liberal mainstream media. I just hope that we all can agree, regardless of our politics, that dishonest attacks like this one against Romney have no place in our political discourse.
08.10.2012: Email from a friend... Your budget... Details, Details ...
The "Why Congress Does Not Pass a Budget" video (click link) provides a clear and understandable explanation of the extremely serious financial mess our politicians ( from BOTH major parties ) have created over the last twenty years.
The BS we hear that the next president will easily balance the budget is completely unrealistic and it will be a daunting, nearly impossible task without great pain and radical changes.
It will REQUIRE MORE TAXES (forget about Tax Cuts, you dyed-in-the-wool Republicans, the rich SHOULD pay more taxes) and MAJOR cuts in Government Spending (forget about Big Government programs you liberal Democrats). [I personally disagree with that first part... not when about half the population doesn't pay any income tax at all...]
We need to defeat those incumbents who have utterly failed us, and vote for candidates who have the wisdom AND courage to take steps to restore sanity to our precarious financial situation. If the U.S. debt gets any larger, we could end up worse than Greece ...
It can't be explained any easier than this.

Jesus and the Democrat
A Republican in a wheelchair entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?" The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.
The next patron to come in was a Libertarian with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus over there?" The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to please give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat."
The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches.
He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, "Hey there, honey! How's about gettin' me a cold glass of Miller Light?" He, too, looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that God's boy over there?" The waitress once more nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold glass of beer. "On my bill," he said.
As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, thanked the Lord and danced a jig out the door.
Jesus also passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up, and he raised his hands, praised the Lord and did a series of back flips out the door.
Then Jesus walked towards the Democrat. The Democrat jumped up and yelled, "Don't you touch me... I'm collecting disability...!
