Letter to Congress, update: 01.06.2010

THIS IS HOW YOU CAN FIX CONGRESS!!!!!

I've sent a link to this page to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between.

We may disagree on a number of issues, but I count all of you as friends. We need to promote a "Congressional Reform Act of 2010". It contains eight provisions, all of which would certainly have been strongly endorsed by the men who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Many of you will say, "This is impossible". Let me remind you: today, the current Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government. Now is the time for Americans to join together to reform Congress - the entity that represents us.

We need a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American heroes.. Forward this link to your congressman!

Thank you!

A Fellow American

Discussion: Can Congress say they're "doing their job"? Really?

As your Congressman I promise free health care to all and a state funded college education for every child.

I promise more extensions in unemployment benefits for those who have been adversely affected by this poor economy.

Social security cost of living increases for the elderly who are barely getting by.

Increases in Medicare part D to aid those who cannot afford the high cost of prescription drugs.

I will not stop until all those evil rich people pay for all your personal failures in life.

In other words my job is not to convince you that personal success requires hard work and sacrifice but to brainwash you into believing that everyone is out to get you, take advantage of you and tear you down but me.

Yes, I am the Congressman who will stand up and protect your right to benefit from someone else's hard earned income while you relish in the status quo.

I will protect your teacher's unions and the rights of illegal aliens to lay claim to millions of American tax payer dollars.

I am an American politician and my number one goal is to remain in power and convince you that you need me.

To stay in power and make as much money from special interest connections as long as possible and to retire a wealthy man and hope like hell the casino keeps paying out and that I get out before the whole thing comes crashing down.

Because I know that mathematically when more Americans are willing to live off the system instead of contributing to it the gravy train will come to a crashing halt.
